OBSERVING THE MOMENT — REFLECTION FORM
DIRECTIONS
This form is not about analyzing your whole life. It's about staying with the one specific moment you worked with over the past five days.
Answer as if you're describing what actually happened, not summarizing what you learned.
A general response like "I felt overwhelmed" doesn't give me anything to work with.
What does give me something to work with looks more like this:
"It's about 4:30pm on a day my husband's traveling. I'm in back-to-back meetings, my phone keeps buzzing, and I realize my mom hasn't confirmed she can grab the kids, one of my coworkers still hasn't sent me the report she said she'd have done by now, and I already know I'm going to end up staying late to redo it myself. That's the moment. The second I realize, again, that if I don't handle it, it isn't getting handled."
Notice what that answer does. It names the actual moment, not the theme. It doesn't explain or justify. It just says what happened.
Answer the same way. Don't clean it up. Don't organize it into something that sounds insightful. Send what's true, even if it's messy, even if it doesn't sound like progress yet. That's what I need to see your pattern accurately.
